Our last wedding of 2014 was a beautiful way to cap off the year!

The day was cool, but the sky was blue and the sun was out. We may have nearly turned the bride and groom into popsicles during our brief foray outdoors, but it was worth it!

Fort Gibraltar always provides excellent atmosphere, food and service, and as usual was a fantastic venue for this wedding that centred on family and friends.

We are so happy for you Leanne & Dave, thanks for trusting us to capture your memories!

We woke up this morning to a sweet little email from weddingbells.ca telling us that the lovely wedding of Patrick & Lauren is featured as a real wedding on the very front page of the Weddingbells site! Check it out HERE!

It’s not often that I don’t meet with a couple until their wedding day but that was the case with Lauren and Patrick. As they live in Montreal, sadly distance kept us from meeting but having shot one of their friend’s weddings previously, they had seen me in action before, at Fort Gibraltar even, where their amazing wedding took place as well! The delightfully colourful bunting (the strings of little flags) that decorated the wedding ceremony were all lovingly hand made by Lauren prior to the wedding…and as you can see, was the perfect whimsical touch and combined with fantastic florals by The Floral Fixx to make the entire scene picture perfect! Did I mention the horn playing, the hatchet throwing and the muskets that marked the end of the ceremony? The night ended with the most people that I’ve ever had visit the photobooth at once thanks to the best selection of music that I have EVER heard at a wedding by DJ Rob Vilar (contact him at 204.888.6915)!

Well, I’m officially more than half way through wedding season and exhausted! Fortunately I am lucky enough to be surrounded by love, laughter, fantastic couples and more beauty than I can almost bear every weekend and that is fueling me to carry on. If you can believe it, I’m even at a loss for words lately…thankfully Angie & Al’s fabulous Friday Fort Gibraltar wedding can be summed up in only a few words…love is sweet!

gorgeous!

Angie’s dad passed her a note when they came down the aisle..apparently a real tear jerker!

lovely yummies by Vanilla Bean Cakes!

During the speeches, they didn’t know whether to laugh or cry!

wowsers..these two are magical together!
