Our last wedding of 2014 was a beautiful way to cap off the year!

The day was cool, but the sky was blue and the sun was out. We may have nearly turned the bride and groom into popsicles during our brief foray outdoors, but it was worth it!

Fort Gibraltar always provides excellent atmosphere, food and service, and as usual was a fantastic venue for this wedding that centred on family and friends.

We are so happy for you Leanne & Dave, thanks for trusting us to capture your memories!

Just as we suspected, Richard & Liana’s wedding was bright, colourful and full of laughter and good times from start to finish! They were more than willing to let us choose the locations for photos so we did some wandering around the Exchange district, ended up in a field (Liana was a real trooper, despite the ticks!) and a special thanks to Eric from The Fox and Fiddle for the afternoon refreshments..they were very well received! Amazing florals from The Floral Fixx, a knockout dress (on an equally gorgeous bride) from LA Collection, the ballroom of every bride’s dreams at Inn at the Forks amazingly decorated by Madeline’s Weddings and the musical stylings of Platinum Productions had the ladies until the dancefloor the entire night! And there’s no indicator that people are having a ball more than a photobooth ending up with partial nudity!

What a way to start off my 2010 wedding season! For the first few weddings of the year, I get unusually nervous as I feel totally off my game but I knew that with these two who love to laugh, that nervousness would quickly disappear as soon as we started…and it did! What can I say about Tracy & Sebastien? Well, sometimes things happen for a reason and I know that fate had a part to play in these two getting together. Sebastien is from Quebec and probably never dreamed of ending up in Manitoba of all places, but he did and that’s where he and Tracy met. Just goes to show that sometimes location is everything and that love can overcome language barriers and misconceptions about “the west” (Sebastien loves all things cowboy and well…Manitoba isn’t that west..lol). Now..onto the photos..and there are a lot! Check back tomorrow for the photobooth fun!

this one makes me giggle…

their first look…

another gorgeous wedding ceremony at Fort Gibraltar!

and a wedding isn’t a wedding at Fort Gibraltar without the shooting of the muskets!

love this one…

Then we went to the appropriately French Resto Gare for some photos! I LOVE that place!

Madeline’s Weddings did another amazing job at the reception at Inn at the Forks!

And what offsets a lovely reception better than a delicious and gorgeous cake by High Tea Bakery?!

first dance fun…

and sadly, this is the very last ring shot that I took with my trusty 50mm macro lens before it died :( Don’t fret…this isn’t the end of ring shots..a new lens has already been ordered…
