JPulia, as they’ve affectionately named by friends, got married!!!

These two are a team, and teamwork is evident in their renovation projects, and certainly in the details of their wedding! Every detail for this lovely brunch wedding was thought of, and often it was JP executing, with extreme precision, Julia’s vision. JP even lazer cut ALL of the place cards, as well as the cover for their guest book!

The details were stunning, beginning with the vintage postcard invitations, the doilies repurposed as bunting, amazing florals, china tea cups holding the tea bag that corresponds to your table, and the list goes on…

We’re so happy to have been able to celebrate your day with you! Have a wonderful life together!

The girls were almost ready and drinking mimosas when I arrived…I count that as a very good omen for a wedding day! Oh, and the sky was blue and the wind calm which just make for the perfect conditions for a wedding. Hayley had the details organized meticulously and was gorgeous in her Madeline Gardner dress (from LA Collection), and Kris looked a little like James Bond with his classic bow tie. From the emotional first look at their home, to the picture perfect ceremony and sweet reception at Terrace 55, including a candy bar by Sweetness Buffet, the day was perfect!
A special thanks to Coralee for joining me on this shoot last minute, we do make a pretty great team!

A few years back I photographed E & D’s wedding at one of my favourite Winnipeg wedding spots, Terrace 55, and it was a real treat to photograph their family again now that they’ve expanded! X had a great time hamming it up and even their furry friend Nora made an appearance :)

When I met up with Justin & Allison 2 weeks before their wedding for their engagement session, I was reminded of just how in love these two are with each other and their wedding day only proved that to me more and more! One of my VERY favorite wedding locations in the entire city is Terrace 55 and their ceremony and reception just rekindled my love for that location…everything was picture perfect from start to finish. Also a shout out to the amazing people at Sargent Sundae for their hospitality and treats! Lynn, you are a star!

Well, what can I say about these two lovebirds? I hadn’t met Lisa & John until the Tuesday before their Saturday wedding (which is often the case for couples that don’t live in Winnipeg but are getting married here) but we had been in contact for over a year before their big day and so it was fun to finally put the faces to the names! These two are the cutest together..and have a very fun story about how they ended up together. Turns out that Jonn & Lisa actually lived next door to each other as kids so John literally married the girl next door! Lisa was good friends with John’s sister and kept in touch after she and her family moved to Alberta. So visiting John’s sister in her 20′s, Lisa was reacquainted with John over the internet (via his sister) and the rest is history! Planning a wedding from two provinces away can be stressful so Jennifer from Wink Wedding Planning did an amazing job of orchestrating the day and making it that much more enjoyable for John & Lisa, without the stress! Their intimate wedding ceremony and lunch reception was held at the always fabulous Terrace 55 at Assiniboine Park. From the beautiful location to the yummy food, I LOVE shooting weddings there!

did you know that Barbie has her own shoe line for women? Well, she does! How hot are these?!

Lisa, not even in her dress yet and already stunning!

These vintage pearls belonged to Lisa’s Great-Grandmother and her Mom restrung them with a vintage brooch to add just enough bling to be perfect!

Isn’t the terrace at Terrace 55 the most ideal setting for a wedding??

After the ceremony, we snuck away for some photos..and I’m glad that we did because the clouds rolled in and the rain began just after this…

Villa Flora did a stunning job on the bouquets!

The birdcage veil, the vintage pearls, the antique lace wedding dress…it was all so gorgeous!

Lisa’s dad telling the story of how they used to live side by side…

Since it was an late morning ceremony and a brunch reception, the food was more fun than formal…coconut shrimp, mini cheeseburgers (so good!), and a dessert and candy buffet…lunch heaven!

This little boy would just NOT stop laughing…so who am I to argue?

the same went for the girls…

I love this little sneaky grin…

and then the rain started…

and rain or shine, the bride just kept on smiling :)
