Our Thanksgiving weekend got even sweeter as we joined Kevin & Ali on their wedding day!

We’ve never before met anyone who is afraid of ladybugs…so it was pretty funny (to us) that we ended up putting the wedding party into a densely populated ladybug zone for some of the afternoon photos! Everyone had a good attitude despite the ladybug infestation, and it certainly led to lots of genuine smiles and just a few looks of terror! After a morning that was dreary and rainy, the sun came out with uncanny timing, just as we were heading out to the forest. Couldn’t have planned it better if we’d tried!

We love that we have this opportunity to be right in the middle of all the action during the day, and that we get a unique opportunity to get to know couples and their families quite quickly because of the time spent together. The amazing stories we hear make us laugh, and even make us cry sometimes! During the speeches, Kevin’s parents played a recording of a four-year-old Kevin and his grandmother singing a song together and it was one of the sweetest moments we’ve ever witnessed!

Thanks you two for including us in your big day, we had a wonderful time with you and your friends and family!

We knew from our time with Jeff & Jordan during their engagement session that they would be full of laughter on their wedding day. Add 14 wedding party members and the amount of laughter just increased sevenfold…which pretty much sums up the amazingness of their day! We LOVE LOVE LOVE (that’s one love for each of them!) working with Paperback Films and know that not only will there be a very complete collection of images from us girls but a film that will make Jordan cry tears of joy for years to come! From the lovely pale pastel bouquet by Fache Floral Designs to the delightful ruffles that decorated the cake by Love Laugh Cakes in the lavishly decorated (by Decorations by Rick) Fort Garry Hotel ballroom, it was the perfect place to laugh, sing (Jordan surprised Jeff with a secret song and Jordan’s dad surprised her with one too!) and dance the night away (dj’d by Topps Music)!

Erik & Jenna’s August wedding was filled with vivid colours, a classic car that’s been in Erik’s family for generations, plenty of laughter & tears and ended with a fabulous reception at the Fort Garry Hotel! Pretty sure that the photobooth turn out was a good indication that a spectacular time was had by all…and who doesn’t love a martini bar?! A special thank you to the fabulous staff at Step N’ Out for letting us use your fabulous restaurant for photos! If you want to spoil your special someone with a fabulous meal, you HAVE to check them out on Provencher Blvd!

Candy & Nathan are pretty much the sweetest couple that you could ever meet..which I’m sure that I mentioned when I blogged their engagement session earlier this year but the thing is…it’s true! When I first met these two, I could just tell that they were meant to be together. You can tell in how the treat each other, act in each other’s company and just generally care for one another. Simply put, that is how love should be…and isn’t that so lovely?! Their wedding was the perfect example of everything that a wedding should be…it encompassed the love that they had for each other, a fantastic party at the Fort Garry Hotel that won’t soon be forgotten with all of their guests that were made to feel at home and surrounded by love the entire day. Perfection…just like these two. I received a sweet note from candy in the days following their wedding that simply said this,

Hi Coralee,

We hope you had as much fun as we did. We can not wait to see your beautiful work.

That made my week..let alone my day! So here’s to you c+n! :)

My first wedding of 2011 couldn’t have been more amazing…from Laura’s infectious smile to Alan’s tearjerking vows to the party that had everyone on the dance floor, a memorable day was truly had by all! Andrea and Karen of Soiree Planning did a truly fabulous job of executing a gorgeous day as Alan & Laura were living in Kingston, Ontario leading up to the wedding…check out all of the beautiful details at the Fort Garry Hotel! They incorporated a traditional Chinese tea ceremony during the reception and the night ended with possibly the best photobooth turnout yet and a poutine bar! Yep, you heard me correctly…as many fries, cheese curds, gravy, onions and bacon as you could eat (and yes, that is a poutine right shot)! And I should mention that Alan’s grandparents (the second last photo) are a true inspiration to marriage and have been wed for 66 years..wowzers! We can all learn a little bit about love from them..for that I am sure!

Tyler & Alison’s wedding was my very last of 2010 and what a way to end the year! Their main priority was having an amazing time with their friends and family and the photos definitely show that! Thanks for a fabulous finale to a great year!

If you were to ask me who my sweetest, kindest couple has been, hands down, it’s Argel & Jackie. These too just ooze kindness. Whenever I saw them before the wedding, they would give me a big hug and ask me how I was and it wasn’t just the “hey, how are you, blah, blah, blah..” kind of how are was the, we-are-honestly-interested-in-how-you-are kind of how are In addition to being two of the nicest people you could ever meet, they are so honestly in love with each other that it just makes you want to wrap their love around you like a blanket. I know that sounds odd but it’s totally true. Being a single girl, I hope that one day I am lucky enough to find a love like they have. One thing that I did learn about these two that I didn’t know prior to the wedding is that they sure know how to party! Yikes! Filipino weddings are usually pretty amazing but damn…these two may have just thrown the best party this year! Their reception at the Fort Garry Hotel was decorated beatifully by Madeline’s Weddings and there was more food than you could possibly eat, amazing cakes, cupcakes and a candy buffet, dancing, carrying on and they kept the photobooth hopping the entire time..I could barely take down my gear when it was time to go..they just wanted to keep the party going! Well, enough of that..let the photos speak for themselves!
