On this cold, blustery, very Polar Vortex-y feeling morning, this fall session is exactly what you need to look at to make your eyeballs happy and your mind reminisce about just how dang nice it can actually be here in Winterpeg!

Whittier Park is just one of this cities gorgeous green spaces, and it was certainly dressed to impress with the colours of fall in full swing.

Here at Red Photo Co. we like to really prove that we’re willing to do almost anything to get the shot. Coralee, trying to navigate to the middle of some brush, found her lovely long red curls covered in burrs!

Steph & Phil, you two are a pleasure to spend time with and of course to photograph! We’re already looking forward to your wedding in 2015!

This sweet family is close to my (Beck’s) heart… meet my nephew Conway! And my sister and brother-in-law too!

Your own home is always a great place for a photo session, especially when you have a 1-year-old who doesn’t stop moving. For these three moving back to Winnipeg and into a new home were good reasons to do some family photos.

Conway is a little ham, and of course stole the show! All kids should be as excited as he was during this session! But, I might be a tad bit biased ;) Love you buddy!

Tasty frozen treats (from Sargent Sundae, one of our favourites!), laughing with their son and a jaunt around Assiniboine Park with balloons of the very best colour of all? Yes, all of those things made up Kevin & Ali’s engagement session a few weeks back!

We’d use one word, ENERGETIC, to sum up this family and this session! The sugary treats used to bribe the kiddos (because really, it happens and we all know it) may have been partly to blame! They were also great props, and provided a fun way to get everyone interacting naturally.

We love watching people, it’s part of what makes us good at our job. But we really love watching people with their loved ones, and seeing those moments that just make your heart melt because you’re witnessing something of the bond that people have with each other. Like the way a daughter will bury her head into her mothers shoulder because she’s still being a little shy, or the way a son with rough house with his dad… it’s beautiful! And while we know that life with kiddos can be a challenge (or so we hear, neither of us have kids of our own) it’s seeing those moments that make it all worth it that we are total suckers for!
We especially loved when these four were sitting together and T made sure that he got his mom and dad to hold hands with each other, it was of the utmost importance to him!

Thanks for inviting us into your day, and your lives for a moment, we had a wonderful time with the four of you!

This wasn’t the first time I (Beck) had the pleasure of photographing these two… the first time Dave was the friend who was willing to shave his head as a gesture of support. That time there were lots of tears and hugs….this time there were lots of LAUGHS and hugs!

It’s always the best when a friend tells you the news that they’ve found their love… and when Leanne told me that Dave was it I was SO excited for them.

We went off on a little adventure, as we do, to a farm near Selkirk. There were twinkle lights, hay bales, gorgeous light, big trees… basically all of our favourites! The love between these two is palpable, and the laughs flow freely… Just take a look at these happy faces!

As is usually the case when tiny humans are involved, Chris and Britney’s daughter stole the show!

Since the University of Manitoba was instrumental in bringing these two together, we decided it would be a great place to have a little photo adventure. The light was lovely, the mosquitos weren’t too bad, and it was obvious how much these two are completely smitten with each other.

We are excited to spend your wedding day with you, capturing all the love in Carberry later this summer!

It’s not everyday that our clients come and pick us up on a weekday, drive you to a faraway location very close to their hearts and just give us an unlimited amount of time to photograph them…so in turn, we make them climb fences (with one of them in a dress no less), hike through rocky terrain, and narrowly escape the fast moving water of the Pinawa Dam to fully get the experience of being there. It was pretty damn amazing (haha!)! And Garrett & Larissa, who claimed that they were nervous to be photographed, must have been trying to fool us because they were COMPLETE naturals in front of the camera and made out without us even having to say a word!
